Abstract

Telah dilakukan sintesis dan karakterisasi rayon adsorbent berfungsional phosporus dengan kopolimerisasi grafting radiasi. Rayon memiliki karakteristik unik seperti ramah lingkungan, kemampuan mengembang yang besar, kesetabilan termal dan mekanik yang lebih baik, biodegradabilitas, terbarukan dan mudah didapat. Kondisi optimum grafting adalah dosis 10 kGy, konsentrasi 10 % monomer, waktu reaksi 4 jam dan temperature 40°C dengan persen grafting sebesar 242%. Adsorbent memiliki kecepatan reaksi yang tinggi, dalam 20 menit reaksi adsorbent menyerap 99% logam U, Zr dan Hf dengan konsentrasi 100 ppb dan adsorbent juga memiliki kemampuan penyerapan yang baik pada rentang pH 1-7. (Synthesis and characterization of Rayon based phosphoric adsorbent by radiation induced graft polymerization has been carried out. Rayon chooses as a trunk polymer was because of environmental friendly, their unique characteristic like good swelling ability, thermal dan mechanic stability, biodegradability, renewability and availability. The optimum grafting condition was 10 kGy doses, 10% monomer, 2 h reaction time and 6(fC reaction temperature which degree of grafting was 272 %. The absorbent was very rapidly absorbed 100 ppb of metal concentration of U, Zr and Hf in 20 minutes reaction time. The adsorbent has good ability for pH between 1-7 and metals ware absorbed 99,5 % of 100 ppb of metal.)
