Abstract

STUDI STABILITAS KATUP PENGAMAN. Perhitungan stabilitas katup pengaman harus dilaksanakan dalam rancangan instalasi katup pengaman dalam suatu industri atau instalasi PLN PWR. Dengan dicapainya stabilitas katup pengaman, fungsi katup pengaman sebagai pelindung bejana pactatekanan tinggi, dapat berfungsi dengan baik. Pada makalah ini akan ditentukan stabilitas katup pengaman pacta kondisi terbuka dengan menentukan berapa persen katup blow-down harus terbuka, dengan data-data sebagai berikut : Tekanan katup terbuka = 2500 Psi, Panjang total pipa upstream antara katup daTItangki = 107,5 inch, Diameter pipa bagian dalam = 4,9 inch, Diameter nozzle = 2,13 inch, Koefisien discharge = 0,9, Waktu katup terbuka = 0,014 jet. Dalam perhitungan didapat katup blow-down harus terbuka > 20 % ABSTRACT STABILITY STUDY ON SAFETY VALVE. Stability calculation on the safety valve should be done in the design of safety valve instalationfor nuclear Power Plant or in the industry. Good stability of the safety valve quarantee that the safety valve fuction as a vessel protection would be good. On this paper would be determined stability on the safety valve in open condition, also how far safety valve shold be open, with parameter data shown below: Valve opening pressure = 2500 Psi, Total length of up stream = 107,5 inch, inside pipe diamter = 4,9 inch, valve nozzle diameter = 2,13 inch, Valve discharge coefisient = 0,9 valve opening time = 0,014 seconds. Base on the calculation during opening position of the blow-down valve, should be open greater than> 20 %
