Abstract

EVALUASI LEPASAN CEROBONG REAKTOR SERBA GUNA G.A. SIWABESSY. Lepasan udara buang dari cerobong Reaktor Serba Guna G.A. Siwabessy harus dipantau setiap saat karena punya dampak radiologik bagi masyarakat dan lingkungan. Evaluasi telah dilakukan dengan mengambil data hasil pencatatan setiap hari pada alat pemantau lepasan cerobong beta gas mulia KLK06 CR001 dan pemantau beta aerosol KLK06 CR003 yang dilakukan oleh Petugas Proteksi Radiasi dari bulan Januari sampai dengan Juni 2016. Untuk alat pemantau beta gas mulia KLK06 CR001, pada bulan Mei dan Juni mengalami kenaikan yang signifikan dari normalnya 6x10-7 Ci/m3 menjadi 2x10-6 Ci/m3. Ini dapat terjadi karena ada indikasi penurunan kinerja filter elemen, sehingga ada partikel yang lolos dan terukur oleh alat KLK06 CR001. Meskipun ada kenaikan, namun masih di bawah nilai ambang batas yaitu 5x10-4 Ci/m3. Sedangkan pada alat pemantau beta aerosol yang normalnya menunjukkan 1x10-12 Ci/m3, pada bulan Februari mengalami kenaikan 400 % menjadi 4x10-12 Ci/m3. Pada saat peluruhan sampel iradiasi, filter yang terpasang di fasilitas iradiasi Rabbit System bekerjanya kurang baik, sehingga ada partikel pengotor kapsul radioaktif yang lepas lewat cerobong dan terdeteksi oleh alat KLK06 CR003. Meskipun ada kenaikan, namun masih di bawah nilai ambang batas yaitu 1x10-10 Ci/m3. Dengan demikian Reaktor Serba Guna G.A. Siwabessy beroperasi dengan aman. Kata kunci : Evaluasi, lepasan, cerobong ABSTRACT EVALUATION OF STACK RELEASE IN MULTI PURPOSE REACTOR G.A. SIWABESSY. Exhaust air release from the stack of Multipurpose Reactor G.A. Siwabessy should be monitored at all times because it had radiology impact for the society and the environment. Evaluation was done by taking the entry data every day on the monitoring instrument of beta noble gas KLK06 CR001 stack release and the monitoring instrument of beta aerosol KLK06 CR003 which conducted by the Radiation Protection Officer from January until June, 2016. The monitoring instrument of beta noble gas KLK06 CR001 had significantly increased from its normal 6x10-7 Ci/m3 becomes 2x10-6 Ci/m3 on May and June, this can happen because there are performance degradation of the filter element, so the particles that pass and measured by KLK06 CR001 instrument. Although there was an increased, it was still below the threshold value, which is 5x10-4 Ci/m3. While the monitoring tool of beta aerosol normally shows 1x10-12 Ci/m3, it had increased until 400% becomes 4x10-12 Ci/m3 on February. At the disintegration of radiation sample, filter that had been installed in Rabbit System irradiation facility not working properly, so polluter particles from radioactive capsule through the stack and detected by KLK06 CR003 instrument. Although there was an increase, but it was still below the threshold value, which is 1x10-10 Ci/m3. Thus, Multipurpose Reactor G.A. Siwabessy is operating safely. Keyword: Control, Releases, stack
