High-resolution neutron powder diffraction study of Dy2Fe9Al8 has been carried out at 65 K. The crystallographic parameters and magnetic moments were determined by Rietveld profile fitting calculation. The results showed that Dy2Fe9Al8 crystallized in the rhombohedral Th2Zn17 type structure. The aluminum atoms were distributed randomly at positions 18f, 18h and 6c. The magnetic moments of all iron atoms were parallel to the six-fold axis and couple antiferromagnetically to the moment of Dy.
